Day out at Oakwood Apple Farm

Last week several members of the Infinity Team were invited out to Oakwood Farm in the Sussex High Weald to explore the blossoming apple orchards. We braved the freezing cold temperatures on this crisp spring evening to listen to Matthew and Carol talk us through the process and hard work that goes into encouraging these trees to produce the wonderful harvest of apples that arrives in our shop each Autumn.
We are so lucky to have one of the few remaining english apple orchards practically on our doorstep and especially one that is certified organic with a particular interest in heritage and old fashioned tasting varieties. At Oakwood Farm wildlife abounds and we were particularly taken by the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The post talk cider and perry tasting went down well too! So we would like to say thank you to Matthew and Carol, we look forward to seeing all that blossom turn into tasty apples this Autumn.
